Animals have played always played a profound role in my life. I remember being completely enamored with our cats and with the wildlife where I grew up in Appalachia. My relationship with dogs as a child was quite different. At one year old, I was trampled by a pack of Blue Tick Hounds and developed a severe phobia of dogs that lasted into my early twenties.

A series of events led me to face my fears head on, and I began spending multiple days per week at a local animal shelter. Long story short, I eventually adopted two dogs, Monroe and Kennedy. They changed the course of my life completely and led me to become a professional behavioral dog trainer, working with thousands of dogs and their guardians over the next sexteen years in Virginia and North Carolina.

But my relationship with animals became about so much more than behavior. They have been some of my greatest teachers and companions. They've provided a source of comfort, grounding, and connection during some of the most transformative periods of my life. Animals helped me reconnect with parts of myself I had lost touch with and opened the door to a deeper spiritual connection with the natural world.

My own healing journey deepened significantly beginning in 2017, leading to an intense curiosity about energy healing. In 2019, I began formally training in and practicing a variety of healing modalities, eventually developing an approach that weaves several of them together. Over time, two paths that had once seemed separate, my life with animals and my work in the healing arts, naturally began to merge. My healing practice shifted toward supporting animals and the people who love them, and Wild Earth Animal Alchemy was born.

The path has been a winding one, and I'm so grateful to the animals and the humans who have been alongside me.
